What to Expect When Visiting Sapa, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam

This tour is perfectly designed to provide tourists an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of many highlights in Lao Cai. You will visit and explore Cao Son which is considered the most stunning area of Lao Cai Province with lovely weather, spectacular landscapes and distinctive cultural values of local hill tribes. In addition, you will visit famous traditional markets, learn and engage in the local life, enjoy their traditional dishes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Sapa – Ban Lech – Thanh Phu – Sin Chai B

Stop At: Sapa, Sapa, Lao Cai Province
you will be driven to Ban Lech village where the Red Zao ethnic people are living. This village is about 18km from your hotel.

Leaving this village, you will continue trekking along a narrow valley for about 2 hours. Then, you reach the Ngoi Boi river. Along the way, you can not only enjoy the peace of nature but also the lovely landscapes of the riverbanks.

You keep trekking uphill to Muong Bo village which is located at the center of Thanh Phu Commune.
You will stop at the village, walk around to explore it and then, come to a local house to have lunch there.
After lunch and a short rest, you start the afternoon program by trekking gradually uphill to Nam Cum Village and then leave for Sin Chai B village. This village is inhabited by Red Dao ethnic minority people. You will experience home-stay in a local house for a night. This house will prepare dinner for the group as well.

Day 2: Sin Chai B – Nam Than – Nam Nhiu – Nam Sai

Stop At: Terraced Rice Fields in Shin Chai Village, Cau May street, Sapa 330000 Vietnam
On day 2, after having breakfast, you will start your day by trekking through the spectacular sites of rice terraces, bamboo forests and villages inhabited by the Red Zao and Tay ethnic minority people, such as Sin Chai A, Nam Than, Nam Nhiu villages. Coming there, you will have the opportunity to visit local houses, schools as well as taking photos. This is a great opportunity for you to learn and understand more about their traditional culture, customs and daily life. You will have lunch prepared and served in a local house.

After lunch and a short rest, you will start your afternoon adventure by walking to Ban Sai village which is near the centre of Nam Sai Commune. This village is inhabited by Tay ethnic minority people.

Coming here, you will spend time walking around and explore the village. You will have the chance to observe and participate in the every-day activities of the locals there. Don’t forget to keep your camera handy to capture these peaceful and lovely images.

Day 3: Nam Sai – My Son – Nam Toong – Sapa

Stop At: Ban Ho Village, Sapa 330000 Vietnam
On the last day, you will experience a trekking journey through some suspension bridges, rice fields, and fantastic sceneries of the nature. Once you leave Ban Sai village, you will pay a visit to My Son village where Xa Pho group are living.

Then, you will go uphill on a narrow trail to Nam Keng and Nam Toong village which is inhabited by Red Dao ethnic minority people.
You will stay at Nam Toong village and have lunch served in a local school.

After lunch and a short rest, you will start the afternoon program by trekking downhill to Ban Ho village. Upon your arrival to this village, you will be rewarded with stunning views of unspoiled spots and a chance to explore the everyday activities of Tay ethnic minority people. Moreover, you can enjoy a refreshing swim here; but, please check the guide’s advice before you jump into the water.
