What to Expect When Visiting Sapa, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam

This tour is perfectly designed to provide tourists an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of many highlights in Lao Cai. Itinerary

Day 1: Sapa – Sin Chai – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho

Stop At: Terraced Rice Fields in Shin Chai Village, Cau May street, Sapa 330000 Vietnam
At the departure time, you will be greeted and picked up at your hotel’s lobby in Sapa town by a local tour guide and a driver.

You will start your short journey by driving to Sin Chai village. This is a beautiful and peaceful village located at the foot of Hoang Lien mountain range and inhabited by the Black Hmong ethnic minority people. From this village, you start your trekking journey by going up the hill. Once you arrive at the top, you continue trekking downhill to Cat Cat village which is located in a beautiful valley only about 3 kilometers from Sapa town.

Upon your arrival here, you will start your trekking tour to reach a waterfall. You can enjoy beautiful landscape and scenery as well as fresh air along the road.

Stop At: Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai Tl152, Sapa 290000 Vietnam
Following the morning adventure, in the afternoon, you will trek through the mountain on another trail to Y Linh Ho village where Black Hmong people are living. You have to be noted that the trail can be slippery during rainy season from Cat Cat to Y Linh Ho. Here, you will have a chance to observe and learn more about interesting daily life and activities of these ethnic minority people.

You will stay in the village for an overnight in a local family’s house

Day 2: Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Tavan

Stop At: Muong Hoa Valley, Sapa 333108 Vietnam
In day 2, after having breakfast, you will continue your trekking adventure along the Hoang Lien mountain range. You will be impressed by the stunning sceneries of abundant rice field terraces in Muong Hoa valley which is the largest one the Sapa. Don’t forget to keep your camera handy to capture these fabulous images.

Then, you will stop at a nice place for a picnic lunch.

Stop At: Ta Van Village, Sapa 330000 Vietnam
After lunchtime, you will continue the tour by going down the hill to the bottom of the valley.

On the way, you will walk through Lao Chai village where Black Hmong people are living and Tavan village where Giay ethnic minority people are living. You will pay visits to these villages to observe and learn more about their traditional customs and everyday activities.

You will stay in a traditional house of Giay people in Tavan village for an overnight. In this village, you can either stroll around the village to enjoy the beauty of the valley or enjoy a refreshing swim in a river nearby.

Day 3: Tavan – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan

Stop At: Giang Ta Chai Village, Ta Van Commune, Sapa 008420 Vietnam
After having breakfast, you will leave Tavan for Giang Ta Chai village where Red Dao people are living. On the way, you will trek through bamboo forest which belongs to Hoang Lien National Park, and a waterfall. You will stop at the waterfall to take a rest and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the surroundings. Then, you will find a nice and suitable place to enjoy a picnic lunch prepared in advance.

After lunch, you continue trekking to Su Pan, a small village situated nearby the road. After exploring the village, you will get on a car to back to Sapa. The tour ends when you arrive at your hotel
