Indigenous halfday trekking tour will guide you to the highlight scenery, beautiful views to rice tarrace fields and the headwater flow to every field in La Pan Tan commune.
A H’mong local guide help you to discover the most beautiful hidden place in Mu Cang Chai. You will not only have the beautiful views to the rice tarrace fields but also go far in the small villages, forest and and waterfall. Since there are no tourist around, you may feel more like a local farmer than a traveller.
Intinerary:
*First option: Indigenous homestay/Indigenous homestay 1 – Raspberry hill – Headwater
7:00 am – We will pick up you from your meeting point as scheduling from 7:00 to 7:30 am
7:30 am – Begin to go aross the rice terrace field.
A local H’mong guide will take you to begin discovering the nature and rice field. On the way you have an opportunity to see the picturesque vista in the valley. On the pour water season (around May), when the sunlight reflects on the surface of water on the rice field to your eyes then you may have a feeling drunk to watch the light glittering under the dim sky.
8:30 am – Check in the raspberry hill, the highlight scenery.
Arriving at one popular destination named Raspberry hill, the most exquite landscape in Mu Cang Chai that you have seen in every travel agencies in Vietnam. After staying about 10 minutes for checking in and saving the best moment on unique pictures then walking follow one small ditch about 4km. This way will take you to immerse yourself with smell perfume glutinous rice, to see natural photos, the paintings of terrace field on mountain and how the native people growth, take care and harvest the rice. Especially, you are going to understand how H’mong people create a flow of water to the paddy field and keep water on the field.
10:20 am – Arrive the headwater flow to every field
Visit the head water where you will know how is people take water to the terrace field with imposing scenery surrounded and the jungle forest. You will understand how hard the people here work and adapt to the nature in the high mountains. After that the guide lead you coming back to Indigenous homestay along a lope up land road that will challenge your trekking skills and help you improve your health.
11:30 am -Come back to Indigenous homestay/Indigenous homestay 1 and have lunch
*Second option: Indigenous homestay/Indigenous homestay 1 – Van Je La rice field – peak of a mountain – The old village
7:00 am – We will pick up you from your meeting point as scheduling from 7:00 to 7:30 am
7:30 am – Start the trekking to the fascinating beauty of paddy field.
The indigenous tour guide will take you walk along a cute small road on hillside is covered by bright green trees where you can watch the panoramic view of terrace field.
8:10 am – Visit Van Je La.
It is one of the most famous rice field that lots of tourists want to check in. At here, travellers can see the local people cleaning up and keeping rice on field. Especially, on rice season tourist have a change to join taking a sickle to harvest the crop with peasants.
9:30 am – Arrive the peak of the terrace field.
The tour guide will lead you to get to the highest mountain point where you will wake up all your senses to understand how the native people could created an enormous sparkling painting in which the color changes in very minutes by the different shades of green. We spent about 10 minutes to save the moment here then continue the trip.
10:30 am – Get the centre of a quaint old village.
This village is one of the oldest villages in La Pan Tan commune. It named Hau De which mean the headwater where the fresh water begin flowing to everywhere and especially, distributing to all rice field under below.
11:30 am – Come back to Indigenous homestay/Indigenous homestay 1 and have lunch.
