Itinerary
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh complex – Temple of Literature by bus
Stop At: Ho Chi Minh Squares, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City 70000 Vietnam
We can start the tour at 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM depending on your booking.
09:00am/ 02:00pm : Our tour guide will welcome you at our office No.79 Ly Nam De street, then walking to bus station to get the bus.
09:30am/02:30pm: Take the bus to Ho Chi Minh complex.
10:00am/03:00pm: Arrive at Ho Chi Minh complex, start exploring the Ho Chi Minh complex – the huge construction to express the pride of Vietnamese people to the very first president – Ho Chi Minh (or Uncle Ho), the National Liberation Hero, who founded the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. You can take the chance to visit:
1. Ba Dinh square
This is where Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum lies, is a historical site where President Ho Chi Minh read the Independence Declaration of Vietnam on September 2nd, 1945.
2. Ho Chi Minh’s Residence
Refusing to live in the Presidential palace, President Ho Chi Minh lived in a normal electrician’s house nearby. The house has two floors and the beloved President lived here from 1958 until he passed away.
3. One Pillar Pagoda
An ancient pagoda built in 1049 under the Ly Dynasty. There’s an interesting legend referring the construction of the pagoda, telling that King Ly Thanh Tong had this pagoda constructed in the shape of a lotus, based upon his fairy dream, thanks to which he was given a baby boy.
11:30am/04:30pm: Take the bus to next stop – Temple of Literarture

Stop At: Temple of Literature & National University, Quoc Tu Giam Street Dong Da District, Hanoi 100000 Vietnam
11:40am/04:40pm: Arrive at Temple of Literarture. You will have time to visit the Temple of Literature – the first University of Vietnam and also the place to worship the Confucius. This is often cited as one of Hanoi’s most picturesque tourist attractions. Originally built as a university in 1070 dedicated to Confucius, scholars, and sages, the building is extremely well preserved and is a superb example of traditional-style Vietnamese architecture.
12:35pm/05:35pm: Take the bus to Hanoi Opera House
13:00/18:00: Drop-off at Hanoi Opera House. End of the first day

Day 2: Hanoi Old Quarter by foot
Stop At: Old Quarter, Hanoi 100000 Vietnam
09:00am Our tour guide will welcome you at our office – 79 Ly Nam De, then start the walking tour to discover Hanoi’s Old Quarter which is famous with “36 guild streets” in the past time.
Nowaday, the villages were turned to streets and many of them didn’t feature the business as it names anymore. But it’s worth your time to wander along the old streets and you surely gain many exciting experience. Despite the damages that Vietnam War left in Hanoi, the Old Quarter still retained much of the original traits that interests tourists, especially those with architectural passion. These houses are neither tall buildings as people normally see in cities nor stilt houses on lines of poles, which were popular in Vietnam’s mountainous regions these days. They are also called “tubular houses” which are short and narrow but have great length.
After walking around and enjoy some local specialties (excluded), continue to Hoan Kiem Lake area where you can pay a visit Ngoc Son temple or enjoy a drink at Trang Tien Ice Cream, Thuy Ta Ice Cream or some famous café shop/restaurants nearby.
