Rugged, craggy and jungle-clad Cat Ba, the largest island in Halong Bay, has experienced a tourism surge in recent years. The central hub of Cat Ba Town is now framed by a chain of low-rise concrete hotels along its once-lovely bay, but the rest of the island is largely untouched and as wild as ever. With idyllic Lan Ha Bay just offshore, you’ll soon overlook Cat Ba Town’s overdevelopment.
Almost half of Cat Ba Island (with a total area of 354 sq km) and 90 sq km of the adjacent waters were declared a national park in 1986 to protect the island’s diverse ecosystems. Most of the coastline consists of rocky cliffs, but there are some sandy beaches and tiny fishing villages hidden away in small coves.
Lakes, waterfalls and grottoes dot the spectacular limestone hills, the highest rising 331m above sea level. The island’s largest body of water is Ech Lake (3 hectares).

Itinerary
Day 1: Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay – Cat Ba Island
Stop At: Halong Bay Vietnam
7.45-8h30: You will be picked up at your hotel. After that departure to Ha Long, have a short break for 20 minutes on the half way.
12.30: Arrive to Tuan Chau Dock, You will get on the boat and cruise through the most beautiful place of the bay with the famous islets such as Cock Fighting, Dog, Dinh Huong islets …while enjoying fresh see food lunch (on boat). You’ll also visit Thien Cung Cave (heaven grotto)
16.00-16.30: You willl arrive in Gia luan harbour, and then you will get on
our company bus to Cat Ba town, Check in hotel, have dinner at hotel, after dinner, you will have free time to discover Cat Ba Town by your self.

7.30: Having breakfast at hotet and depart Cat Ba Island for Ha Long city, you will have chance to enjoy more of Ha Long Bay on the way back.
11.30: We arrive to Tuan Chau island, you have a lunch at restaurant in Tuan Chau island.
12.45: We back to Ha Noi.
17.00: Arrive in Ha Noi and drop you off at your hotel.
