Pass By: Mekong Silt, Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam
After pickup in Ho Chi Minh City, we will head to Ben Tre, known as a biggest coconut producing regions in Vietnam. After around 2 hours driving along the expressway, you will see the very beautiful scenery filled with rice fields, vegetable plantations and get to see the life of some of the farmers who work on these farms.
Stop At: Ben Tre Province, Ben Tre Province, Mekong Delta
We will reach the Ham Luong River (a run-off of the Mekong) and take a boat tour along its wide expanse. Stops will be made at some of Ben Tre’s most renowned handicraft workshops, where diligent workers fire bricks, process coconut into many different forms and weave mats with the aid of dried reeds and a huge loom. Take the opportunity to have a go at weaving your own mat under the guidance of an experienced local.

Enjoy lunch in a restaurant overlooking the river. Try the local specialities of elephant-ear fish and freshly caught river shrimp.
After lunch, we will spend the rest of the afternoon lounging on a sampan boat as we are rowed through Ben Tre’s iconic backwaters. Make sure to bring your camera as the overhanging water palms and coconut trees create a magical ambiance that you will certainly want to commit to memory.
