– The tour includes visiting Australia’s Nui Dat Task Force Base, the former location of SAS Hill. Not much is left of this camp, but you can see the columns of the main gate up close. The former runway is now a wide street in the local village, and a small area of the Luscombe Airfield is now a soccer field—a Kangaroo school established by the Australians.
– Unfortunately, we can’t visit the horseshoe location due to mining activity at the Discourtesy Rubber Plantation.
You’ll see the Long Tan Cross Memorial, erected in August 1969 in memory of the great battle of Long Tan.
– We’ll explore the Long Phuoc Tunnels, similar to other tunnel systems in Vietnam.
– And, of course, we’ll enjoy lunch with special local foods on the beach of Vung Tau.
