Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City (L)

Around 8.30am, our guide will come to pick up you to start the city tour. The first destination to visit is the War Remains Museum, where you can learn a lot about the Vietnam War. You will visit Jade Emperor Temple, one of the oldest Chinese temples in Ho Chi Minh city. Continue to Binh Tay market in China Town where all kind of local goods are offered.

After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Re-Unification Palace, the former palace of President Thieu and his predecessors. Today this building is a museum and venue for Government official receptions. Inside, you can visit the President’s room. The Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral is located nearby, built between 1877- 1883 and is one of the city’s major landmarks.

Neo-Romanesque in form, the Cathedral is the major seat of the Catholic religion in modern Vietnam.

Around 17.00, we will return you to your hotel. You have leisure time for dinner, sight-seeing and shooping. Back to hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels – Cao Dai Temple (B,L)

Begin the day with a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The tunnel system stretched over 200 km from Sai Gon to the Vietnamese-Cambodian border and was three levels deep. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction, giving the visitors a unique experience and a feel of what underground life in the Vietnam War must have been like. The Cu Chi Tunnels are arguably the most famous tourist attraction that Vietnam has to offer as it played such an important role in the Vietnam War.

After the Cu Chi Tunnels, go to Tay Ninh Province, a southern province near the Vietnamese-Cambodian border. It is home of the unique Cao Dai sect, whose patron saints include Sun Yat-Sen, Victor Hugo and Nguyen Binh Khiem. The religion is a hybrid of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Christianity. In the evening, start with a one hour tour around Ho Chi Minh City to see some of the most interesting and beautiful sites.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B,L)

8:00 AM Pick up at your hotel in HCMC. Depart for My Tho .Take a boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise island and have lunch in the orchard. Enjoy a boat ride through Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, performed by locals. Then visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle. Enjoy a rowing boat ride along the creeks. After taking a delightful walking through the fruit plantation,village.
