NIGHT 1: Hanoi – Sapa by train

DAY 1: Sapa -Y Linh Ho -Lao Chai -Ta Van 

Around 6:30, be greeted by our driver upon arrival at Lao Cai train station, transferred to Sapa by a shared bus. Arrive in Sapa, leave your luggage in hotel

09:30 Start your tour with 6km of walking down to the South East of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village, home of the Black H’mong people. Then continue with a 3km-trek down to Lao Chai village. Here we will stop for a simple lunch before exploring the village. Continue trekking through terraced rice fields to Ta Van, village of the Dzay minority people. This trek is relatively easy, though the trail can be quite slippery if it rains, so good footwear is recommended

15:00 Return to Sapa by shared bus and check-in your hotel. You’re free to explore the town, especially the market with all the colorful handicrafts and interact with the locals. Overnight at hotel in Sapa

DAY 2:Cat Cat & Sin Chai Village

After breakfast, exploring the villages which are located in a little bit further to the South-west of Sapa (4 km) including a visit to Cat Cat village, home of the ‘Black H’mong’ people. This trek offers some stunning views of a waterfall and the vestige of a hydro-electric power station which was built in the early 20th century. You will see local villagers working in the paddy rice fields, watch their children playing as only rural kids can, and get close up to animal such as water-buffaloes, pot-bellied pigs and chickens. After passing through these villages, you will arrive at a well-known and picturesque waterfall, which is an ideal place for resting & taking pictures. Enjoy your lunch

Later, we continue to hike to Sin Chai village (3km) which is situated at the base of Fansipan Mountain (which is also well-known as ‘the roof of Vietnam and Indochina). Overnight at hotel in Sapa

DAY 3:Sapa – Suoi Thau – Ma Tra – Ta Phin – Sapa

After breakfast around 8am, get on the bus and travel 5km to visit the red Dzao tribes people in Suoi Thau, Ma Tra villages. There you will start a 9km trek through the local village precinct, and enjoy the stunning rice and corn field vista’s along the way. A picnic lunch is a highlight en–route. Continue to Ta Phin village, where we have a first-hand opportunity to observe the living conditions and daily habits of the red Dzao minority group. 

After visiting a family in the village, we walk to the main road and meet up with our driver, who will return us to Sapa town. You will still have time to explore Sapa town before transferred to Lao Cai Train Station.
