Itinerary
Day 1: HA GIANG CITY – YEN MINH TOWN – THAM MA PASS – H’MONG KING PALACE – DONG VAN
Stop At: Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Sa Phin, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
The tour starts at 8:00 am, when your guide picks you up from your hotel or hostel. Already after few kilometers after Ha Giang City you will see a big change in the scenery when you drive into the mountains before the town of Tam Son.
You will cross Bac Sum Pass and go up the Heaven Gate to enjoy the twin mountains and the whole view of Tam Son town. The drive will continue towards the town of Yen Minh, where you can enjoy delicious lunch. After we will drive towards Dong Van, through picturesque Chin Khoanh pass.
+ Visit Dong Van Karst Plateau
The whole Dong Van Karst Plateau is a major geoheritage sight in Vietnam. You will see unending rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks and breath-taking views. You can observe life of hill-tribe villages where local people works on the land. The driver can also take you to the Chinese border and the famous northernmost viewpoint in Vietnam.

+ Visit H’mong King Palace
Few kilometers before the Dong Van Town, we will stop in Hmong King’s Palace, a home for Voung’s family in Sa Phin. We will arrive to Dong Van late afternoon, just in time to enjoy a good dinner after a long day full of adventures. On the evening you can explore the town and relax before the next eventful day.

Day 2: DONG VAN TOWN – MA PI LENG PASS – MEO VAC TOWN – DU GIA

+ Visit Ma Pi Leng Pass
After delicious breakfast we leave Dong Van Town to enter, arguably, the most beautiful part of the whole journey, located on the Happiness road connecting the towns of Dong Van and Meo Vac, Ma Pi Leng Pass. The legendary pass is well known for craggy cliffs and breath-taking views. It is the most ragged pass in the north, often referred to as the “king” of the passes in Vietnam! The whole road is winding through the cliffs and overcomes Ma Pi Leng pass at an altitude of 2,000 meters.

+ Visit Nho Que River
To show you the full beauty of the pass, we will trek the breathtaking Sky Path to admire the scenery of the whole valley and Nho Que river. From the amazing mountain viewpoint you will be able to experience a 360° panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass and take unforgottable pictures. Standing on the peak of the pass, you will feel overwhelmed by the majestic space of mountains and rivers.
We will continue our journey to more distant villages. From there, you will know how people live in remote parts of Vietnam. We will drive through the villages of Lung Ho, Mau Due and Meo Vac, where we will have a pit stop for a lunch and drink. From Meo Vac Town we will continue through mountainous rural area of Ha Giang province to Du Gia town, where we will spend a night in a homestay located in the middle of dreamly green rice field.

Day 3: DU GIA – DUONG THUONG VI VILLAGE – LUNG TAM – QUAN BA – HA GIANG CITY
Stop At: Lung Khuy Cave, National Route 4C, Quan Ba 310000 Vietnam
On the third day of your journey we will take the road back to Ha Giang. But it doesn’t mean end of attractions! After two hours of driving we will reach famous Lung Khuy cave. The cave is around 300m in length with many magnificent stalactites and fance shapes that will stimulate you imagination!
You will cross Quan Ba town ans see Nui do mountain. Some people say it looks like fairy’s breasts! After crossing Sky Gate we will be back to Bac Sum pass. After adventerous ride we will be back in Ha Giang late afternoon. You finish your ‘Incredible Ha Giang Exploration 3D2N’.
