What to Expect When Visiting Hanoi, Vietnam, Vietnam
Discover the most-known city attractions of Hanoi in one day with a lot of fun waiting for you! You can expect the companion of an experienced and humorous tour guide. Following the trip, you will visit all the must-sees of Hanoi including historical sites like Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum by driving around the city, in and out of the busy Old Quarter. You have the choice to finish the tour with either a water puppet show or a cyclo ride in the afternoon.
The attractions that you will visit include Tran Quoc pagoda, Ho Chi Minh complex, One-pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake – Turtle Temple, Museum of Vietnamese Women.
Full program details:
8:00 am: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi (including addresses outside of the Old Quarter) by the guide.
In the morning, you will visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, located next to Westlake, which is the one of the most important and beautiful pagodas of the city. The next stop is Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Museum, and One-pillar Pagoda, where you will learn about the modern history of Vietnam and the life of Vietnamese’s most revered leader. After that, you will pay a visit to Temple of Literature, which used to be the first University of Vietnam. Now it is dedicated to worship the values of education and Confucianism. The university was built around 11th Century.
At noon, you will have your delicious lunch at a local restaurant with Vietnamese dishes (or options if you request).
In the afternoon, you will visit Museum of Vietnamese Women to learn about the lives and achievement of the women through different periods of time in history. There are also many exhibits that show the cultures and lifestyles of the women of different ethnicities in Vietnam. Leaving the museum, you will visit Hoan Kiem lake with the iconic Red Bridge and the Turtle Tower. Late at the tour, you will have a choice to enjoy a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter or watch a show at the water puppet theatre. Either of the two activities will last around 40 – 60 mins.
5:00 – 5:30 pm: Drop off at your hotel.
