Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Thong Nguyen (Hoang Su Phi)
Stop At: PPR4+V4F, Tân Tiến, Hoàng Su Phì District, Ha Giang, Vietnam
Pick-up in Hanoi Old Quarter the day before by Limousine bus (hotel not included) or Sleeper bus.
Departure at 6:30am from Hanoi Old Quarter by limousine bus to meet you guide in Ha Giang city. You will marvel upon the wild scenery along the way. You will arrive mid-afternoon in Hoang Su Phi, check-in a local house of a Tay ethnic village. Once you are settled, it is time to explore the surroundings and stretch you legs before the day that follows. Dinner with your hosts.

Day 2: Hoang Su Phi – Trekking
Stop At: PPR4+V4F, Tân Tiến, Hoàng Su Phì District, Ha Giang, Vietnam
Enjoy a local breakfast with a Tay ethnic family before starting your trek in the village. You will have the whole day to explore the mountains of Hoang Su Phi, recognised as a national heritage site. This region is well-known for its stunning terraced rice fields and the diversity of local hill tribes such as the Tay people, the Back Yao or Yao with long tunic, and the Red Yao. Lunch will be served at a local family’s house that you will get back to for the night.

Day 3: Hoang Su Phi – Quan Ba
Stop At: Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Tam Son Town, Quan Ba 310000 Vietnam
After having breakfast with the local family, it is time to say farewell and head to Dong Van town. Driving in the limestones mountains on the rock plateau will amaze you. On the way, the car will make some stops to let you take in the amazing scenery through photographs. Along the way you will stop to visit Pho Bang ancient town, learn about the local life and culture of the hill tribes such as the H’mong in the village of Lung Cam, and discover the residence of the Vuong family also known as the ‘Palace of H’mong King’. Arrive in Dong Van late afternoon, check-in your hotel and enjoy the city center before dinner.

Day 4: Quan Ba – Dong Van
Stop At: Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Sa Phin, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
After having breakfast with the local family, it is time to say farewell and head to Dong Van town. Driving in the limestones mountains on the rock plateau will amaze you. Day 5: Dong Van – Thien Huong Village – Meo Vac
Stop At: Ma Pi Leng Pass, Meo Vac, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
This morning, you will trek to visit Thien Huong Village to experience the daily life of the local ethnic minority, admire some grey rocks, green farms, gardens and villages of the hill tribes. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be transferred to Meo Vac town, marking some stops en route to admir the scenery and take some photos of Ma Pi Leng Pass. Upon arrival in Meo Vac, check into a local hotel and rest. Then if time permits, we will have the opportunity to visit a H’mong village near the town. Dinner and overnight in Meo Vac.

Day 6: Meo Vac – Ha Giang city – Hanoi
Stop At: Lung Tam village, Lùng Tám, Quản Bạ, Hà Giang, Vietnam
After breakfast, we start our road trip back to Ha Giang town. If today is Sunday, you will have a colorful morning as there is a local market which takes place in the town centre. The market gathers local people living in the karst plateau mainly from the H’Mong ethnic minority group. They come to trade their domestic and farming products. This will be a great chance to hunt beautiful photos of the local faces in their traditional dresses.
Upon our arrival in Quan Ba, Yen Minh, we will make a stop in Lung Tam village, a H’mong village where you will learn how local villagers weave brocades. After lunch at Quan Ba, we continue our trip back to Ha Giang city. Arrival in Ha Giang City around 5pm.
Return to Hanoi by Limousine bus the following day (hotel not included) or Sleeper bus.
