This tour offers you an ideal overview of the region around Tay Con Linh mountain range, in the western part of Ha Giang Province, one of the highest mountains of Northeast Vietnam. You will trek through moutain passes, visit traditional villages and meet local ethnic minorities in this wild and untouched area.
Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang City – Quan Ba – Yen Minh
Stop At: Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Tam Son Town, Quan Ba 310000 Vietnam
Pick-up in Hanoi Old Quarter the day before by Limousine bus (hotel not included) or Sleeper bus.
After having breakfast at your hotel, you will take an easy walk to visit Thon Tha Village, the village of the Tay people. You will have the peaceful feeling while viewing the scenery of stilt houses with thatch roves and palm trees. Continue driving up to the highland region of Ha Giang, the scenery is getting more stunning with high passes and august mountains. You will have opportunities to enjoy wonderful views and take photos of Quan Ba pass and Quan Ba Heaven Gate. Upon arrival in Yen Minh town, you will spend the rest of the day rambling around a hill tribe village near the town. Then check-in your hotel and relax. Free time in the evening.

Day 2: Yen Minh – Dong Van
Stop At: Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Sa Phin, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
Breakfast at your hotel and departure at 08:00 am to drive through Dong Van Karst Geopark, a unique combination between Geo and cultural heritages. Up to 80% of the karst formations of Dong Van Plateau are limestone formed by environment conditions and different development stages of nature. On the way, the car will mark some stops to take photos and simply enjoy the amazing scenery. You will explore local life and the culture of the hill tribes such as the H’mong village in Lung Cam and the residence of the Vuong family, also known as ‘Palace of the H’mong King’. Then free time in the evening.

Day 3: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Lung Phin – Meo Vac
Stop At: Ma Pi Leng Pass, Meo Vac, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
Breakfast at your hotel and if you are lucky to be there on a Saturday or Sunday, you will be able to visit the local markets.. There are four “cho lui” – Lung Phin, Sa Phin, Pho Bang and Pho Cao. You will get to see the local ethnic minorities going down the mountain villages by horses, motorbikes or foot. The colourful traditional clothes are mesmerising and the variety of goods provided at the market will impress you, from chickens to pigs, from clothes to knives or simply vegetables freshly out of the garden.
After lunch, we continue our drive towards Meo Vac town. Several stops will be arranged along the way to admire the scenery and take photos of Ma Pi Leng Pass. Upon arrival in Meo Vac, check into a local hotel and have some rest. Then if time permits, we will have the opportunity to visit a H’mong village near the town. Dinner and overnight in Meo Vac.

Day 4: Meo Vac – Yen Minh – Ha Giang
Stop At: Lung Tam village, Lùng Tám, Quản Bạ, Hà Giang, Vietnam
After breakfast, we will start our road trip back to Ha Giang town. If today is Sunday, You will have a colorful morning as there is a weekend market which takes place right in the town. The market gather local people who live in the karst plateau from the H’Mong ethnic minority group. They join here to trade their domestic and farming products. This will be a great chance to capture beautiful photos of the local people in their traditional dresses.
Upon our arrival in Yen Minh, we will make a stop in Lung Tam, a H’mong village where you will learn how local villagers weave brocades. After lunch, we will continue our trip back to Ha Giang.
Return to Hanoi by Limousine bus the following day (hotel not included) or Sleeper bus.
