The Abandoned Valley and E Cave 01 day trek is designed for those with just a day to explore the wild but still looking for an escape to the jungle along with adventure and of course, a beautiful cave. This tour highlights 12km – 15km of the Ho Chi Minh trail, through the Abandoned Valley, exploring the national park tropical forest, swimming, and exploring the other exit of the now famous Dark Cave, and E Cave (also called the Water Palace) where is one of the most pristine river caves in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park as it is situated in a completely unspoiled environment. The Abandoned Valley with an area of 2,000 ha, converging many forms of terrain, from limestone mountains, non-Karst terrain, flat land, caves to underground streams and primeval forests. More specifically, Abandoned Valley is a hidden place of biological diversity. It is an opportunity for us to better understand the biodiversity values of the world natural heritage forest of Phong Nha National Park.

Stop At: Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province

Once you are ready, we head directly to the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and unto the trail-head to Abandoned Valley. The going is 6 km trekking along narrow pathways, climb over giant boulders and navigate through streams to make the way into the beautiful and fertile. The reward for this hard trekking is a fantastic view of the many flora and fauna species found along the path. There is a wide variety of flora in this area ranging from towering hard wood trees hundreds of years old to delicate blooming flowers.

We will trek through the jungle and have an opportunity to immerse ourselves among hundreds of massive trees, descend down narrow paths with shimmy around boulders and under low-hanging vines.
