Author's trekking at the historic cellar of Montalcino This is a path in the Brunello vineyards along which there are the dedications of the winners of the "Casato Prime Donne Award" and the works of contemporary Tuscan artists. Among them Marco Pignattai, Rossana Mulinari, Bruno Bruchi and Giovanni Senatore, Alessandro Grazi, Orlando Orlandini, Stefano Carlucci, Jeff Shapiro … Typical Tuscan lunch in the tasting room of the cellar in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of traditional Tuscan houses. The tables are set with the "old Ginori" dishes typical of Tuscany. Bread and peasant vegetable soups, cured meats and pecorino cheeses, black crostino alla Senese and seasonal vegetables will be served, and to conclude a traditional dessert. Follow us inside the rolling Tuscan landscape, amidst wine, art, Middle Ages, Renaissance and history visiting Cortona and "the secret underground cellars" of Montepulciano. You will taste the best wines of our Region and meal with a typical tuscan lunch. The beautiful and untouched landscape is the absolute protagonist in Val d' Orcia. This area of Tuscany boasts of endless rolling hills covered with grain or sunflowers, a rich green valley which encompasses the Orcia river. First we will explore the South of Tuscany and visit the Medieval town of Cortona. Later we'll visit the "Underground Wonders" of Montepulciano (The Historic Cellars of the city) where you will find gigantic oak barrels, in which the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG “rest”. In Montepulciano we'll have also a first and a second wine tasting experience in two differerent cellars, with a delicious tuscan lunch. (Pecorino cheese, bruschettas, ham, cold cuts, always with the best wines of our Region).

Discover the "Sweet Hills of Chianti and Val d'Orcia" during your transfer to Rome. Visit the towns of San Gimignano, famous for its legendary towers and Montepulciano, known for its excellent wine and historic cellars. Visit the city of wine and an ancient underground cellar, walking through tunnels dug into the tuff, under spectacular brick vaults. • Guided wine tour in Montepulciano and 5 wine tastings (Nobile di Montepulciano and Rosso di Montepulciano and Brunello) always in the Historic Cellar. Our driver will be able to recommend typical restaurants in the area for your lunch • We will then move to Rome in the booked location (Hotel, pvt apartment or B&B).
