Blackness Castle Cruise – take in views of Blackness Castle, the ship that never sails and featured in Outlander. There are also views of Limekilns village, mentioned in Robert Louis Stevenson's Kidnapped. It was from Limekilns that David Balfour and Alan Breck were carried across the Forth in a rowing boat. You will also see the Three Bridges as you have never seen them before. Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer! Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Someone visiting Georgetown today may see it as another wealthy enclave in a continuously gentrifying Washington, DC. However, this charming area has a diverse history. Originally a busy port for the export of tobacco, it was also the site of an active slave trade, and at one point African Americans counted as 30% of the Georgetown population. Descendants of those enslaved peoples and black free folk have lived in Georgetown for generations, but their contributions to its history do not often receive the same recognition. This tour will reveal the stories of the black citizens who made their mark on one of DC’s oldest neighborhoods. The tour starts at 3206 O Street NW DC and ends at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, at 2501 Mill Rd. NW. There is a half-way stop at Thomas Sweet Shop for a bathroom break and refreshment.

These tours can take you to some locations in London that tourists will not see on bus or coach tours. We can also customize tours to your choice. Our accredited guides will collect you from your location of choice and either return you to your hotel or point of choice (see What's included section). Most of our vehicles are the latest Black Taxi which is called a TXE and is a range extender hybrid. These vehicles are fully wheelchair accessible and can hold upto six people. If require more than six people, more taxis can be booked to accomadate larger amounts of people to go on same tour. The vehicles are spacious fully air conditioned and fantastic for viewing as large windows and glass roof which will provide panoramic views. Tours can be done in vehicles or if clients would like to combine small walks at some points this is welcomed.

Philadelphia’s famous Seventh Ward was a thriving and bustling community populated by many Black Philadelphians as well as immigrants from the end of the 18th century until the 1960s. By 1900 the Ward was home to approximately 30% of Black Philadelphians. Boasting the largest Black population in the city, the Seventh Ward was the epicenter of Black culture and home to many past and present African-American schools, churches and institutions as well as abolitionists, educators, athletes and political and women’s civil rights activists. The Seventh Ward was so fascinating that W.E.B Du Bois traveled to Philadelphia to conduct his study of Philadelphia’s Black population residing in the ward. Staying in the Seventh Ward, Dr. Du Bois conducted door-to-door in-depth interviews with Black Philadelphians from all walks of life. This is your opportunity to join us as we explore this still fascinating community that played a significant role in Black Philadelphia history.

The town is known for the famous Paulist Monastery and Jasna Gora that is the home of the miraculous Black Madonna painting, a shrine of the Saint Mary.

Located at Cherrybrook Road and Main Street, about twenty (20) minutes drive from Halifax, the Centre houses a museum section, an auditorium, gift shop, RCMP community office and a reference library. Our tour of the Black Cultural Centre will consist of visiting the former Africville Village, where many African-Nova Scotians lived. We will also visit some of the African-Canadian historic homes and the United Baptist church. You will be able to learn some interesting and significant facts about African-Canadian history from the time of the slave trade, the emancipation from slavery and the general struggle of black people from the United States to Canada, en route from and to Africa. This educational tour will help you understand and appreciate what the black cultural centre stands for as thousands of people including tourists, students, dignitaries etc. come to visit year-round.
