Departure and Pick-Up: Elite Adventures tours depart from Rotorua at 8:00 AM. Pick-up times are scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM, depending on your accommodation. Waimangu Volcanic Valley: – Our tour concludes with a visit to Waimangu Volcanic Valley, the youngest geothermal ecosystem in the world. The hot air balloon flies for about one hours depending on the thermals. The pilots are all experts and have many years experience piloting the balloons around the region. Be ready to skim the tops of the mandarin orchards, meander through karst peaks and soar high above the landscape reaching heights of 1500 meters on this memorable balloon ride.
