The Shakadang Trail is a relatively level 3KM round-trip hike that follows the river and offers impressive views at every turn. The Zhuilu Historic Trail (originally built by the Japanese military) is significantly more challenging, being both twice as long and requiring some serious climbing; at points you’ll find yourself looking down into the gorge far below.
