This is a 2,5 to 3 -hour whale watching tour 25 minutes north of Akureyri in Hauganes. To be free in the mountains on horseback is nothing short of breathtaking. Join us for the 1 1/2 hour adventure on horseback to the mountains. On this tour you have opportunities to tölt your horse, a special gait known to Icelandic horses. At the end of the tour you are invited to join us for coffee and light refreshments. Join us for a short small group tour to the famous Goðafoss Waterfall, one of the most popular tourist destination in North Iceland.​ On the way back to Akureyri we drive along the coast of Eyjafjordur, one of the longest fjords in Iceland where you can see over the fjord to Akureyri and take a great photo. From there, we stop at the Forest Lagoon, a geothermal spa resort located across from Akureyri. It includes infinity pools with swim-up bars, a sauna and a cold tub and offers great views across the Eyjafjordur fjord.

From Zero to Hero You are a beginner and want to learn a little bit of riding skills here in Iceland or you are an experienced horse rider that never tried the Tölt on an Icelandic and want a deeper insight of the uniqueness of this gait. You can book a private riding lesson with a specific wish what you would like to learn under the supervision of a skilled riding instructor. (The duration on horseback is approx. 30-45 minutes. The lesson includes preparing the horse under the supervision of the riding instructor before and after the ride).
