Plantation walk is a day tour. Those who are coming to Munnar can opt for this activity. This involves a maximum1- 2 hour walk through the Tea plantation and interaction with Tea Pluckers to learn the local culture of the people. Moreover this walk is good for heath in the form of breathing pure oxygen and peace of mind. It is a new attraction introduced by Lockhart Farm Tourism in Munnar. The objective of this unique programme is to give the tea lovers all around the world the unique experience of producing their own tea from the tea plant to the cup. The Lockhart tea factory is famous for its Orthodox Tea produced in the traditional way. The museum includes a living factory which was built in 1936 and a tea sales outlet and tea-tasting sections. The visitors are given a briefing about the origins of tea for consumption, its history & health benefits and explained about the traditional tea manufacturing processes. Tea tasting in the factory

07.00am or 8.30am Start by walk depending on reservation – from the sea level of 1530 metres through the (Tea Plantation,forest ,Grassland & Rocks) & reach by 09.30am or 11.00amTop of the mountain for the tea plantation view & valley nature view at (2000 metre) – & have the Breakfast over there & then start walking again through 5 mountains ,forest from 10.30 am or 12.00pm through the (Grassland, Coffee , Cardamom Plantations and Tea Plantation till 12 :30 pm or 2.00pm & 01.00pm or 02.30pm Noon Back to starting point Distance covered by walk – 14 Kms Covering area – Tea Plantation, forest, Rocks & Grassland Coffee & cardamom plantation Trekking trip – including- entry ticket for Tea plantation,guide food(Breakfast) ,fruits & snacks, water bottle

The trek will start at the height of 1420 meters MSL (approx), we will start through the tea plantations for about 60 to 90 minutes, After reaching the top of the hill, rest of our couple of hours trek will be on the ridge which offers beautiful views around, it will be through grasslands, one side will be rocky mountain slope and the other side will be tea plantations, patches of Shola forest etc…, in a clear sky day we could see the Anaimudi “highest peak in S. India” and the water reservoir of Idukki Dam which listed as highest arch dams in Asia and third tallest dam in India. We will have refreshment/picnic lunch at any suitable place during the trek, our trek we will be through Nature Zone where we can see some of exotic spices like Coffee, Cardamom, etc…, Will have another 60 minutes to 01.5 hours walk through the tea plantations to finish the trek, highest point of this trek will be about 1950 meters MSL (approx)

Will have another 90 minutes to 120 minutes walk through the tea plantations to finish the trek, highest point of this trek will be about 2000 meters MSL (approx).

Sunrise tour in Top Station , Munnar ( 4 – 5Hr) Guest Review: He picked us up at 4:30 am in the pitch black and bundled us together with another couple into the back of a tiny Jeep. We were driving into the middle of nowhere in the dead of night, along small bumpy roads, with barely enough space to move, and a canopy dropped over the sides so we couldn’t see outside. It felt like we were taking part in an illegal smuggling operation. After 50 minutes we reached our starting point just as the sun was beginning to shed light on the dark sky. Once we reached the summit, we enjoyed a delicious meal among the changing clouds and mist. An hour later, bellies full and feeling well rested we started our descent. On the final stretch, we walked through a few tea plantations.

This is a village life experience guided tour which is explored for about 2 to 3 hours by walking. The tour begins from Old Munnar by walking on the way to Lakshmi Tea Estate where you can feel the fresh air with the beauty of green tea plantations with a wide variety of other trees and plants. While walking through the plantations you can see a river flowing and three different temples on the way and also the Chokanad Tea Factory can be seen. Then walking through a narrow way takes you to the CSI Church Munnar, which is more than 100 years old. The Church is always open for visitors. The tour is finish at Munnar CSI Church.
