It’s not every day that you get to paddle your way down a mangrove creek forest that has been there for over 10,000 years. We kayak up close to shipwrecks, relics of a bygone era (weather/wind permitting) and along the way have the opportunity to spot dolphins. It’s a special experience that simply can’t be replicated, which is why Dolphin Sanctuary Kayak Tours is a must-do! Our guides are marine biologists who have experience and knowledge of working with marine mammals and wildlife. Participants don’t need any prior kayaking experience, and we travel at a comfortable pace to accommodate reasonable fitness levels. We hope to see you paddling with us in the Sanctuary soon! Please note departure times are varied due to tide times and it is essential that you arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Departing daily from Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, we set out at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm on a 2.5-hour excursion along the island’s southwest coast, where we search for dolphins and other cetaceans in their natural habitat. Our vessel, Spirit of the Sea, accommodates 97 guests and has a large glass bottom, offering a rare chance to observe the underwater world from the comfort of the boat. Each year, several marine mammals, including humpback whales, migrate to the Pacific Ocean and especially to French Polynesia. It is one of the only destinations in the world where they can be observed in their natural environment. This is a unique opportunity to admire them. Join us and live the experience of your life! This year the approach rules limit the number of people in the water to preserve and respect animals. The maximum number allowed in the water is 7 including the guide. We will organize 2 groups. Our guide only permits the release of animals when it is determined that weather conditions and animal behaviour are favourable. This activity can be quite physically demanding and requires knowledge of swimming and effective use of snorkeling, fins, mask and snorkelling equipment. People with motion sickness can be sick at sea. We advise you to take precautions before the tour.

Avoid crowds on our quiet, fast, 32 foot, Coast Guard inspected vessel. We only allow 16 guests on the boat, and every seat has a great view of the animals. My name is Captain Bobby Burnett. I am a sixth generation Floridian. About 10 years ago I started a fishing charter business and I have never looked back. I run a fishing charter almost every morning. Fishing can get a little slow in the afternoon and busy on the weekends, so I decided to put my boat to use in other ways. I have expanded the business and now offer excursions tailored to your family. My father and youngest brother are also experienced Captains in the area and have joined in on the fun. Hop on board our new super fast RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat). It's an exhilarating ride out to wherever the mammals are! We will cruise the majestic California coastline in search of pods of dolphins and migrating whales.  Get up close and personal with these ocean mammals in their natural environment with chances of seeing other animals such as sea lions, sharks, sunfish and on rare occasions, Orcas!  Learn about their behaviors, environment and ecology.  Many times we see them feeding, mating and interacting for those 'National Geographic' moments!  d This is a three hour tour and is either a private or semi-private experience as there are only six spots per trip.  For PRIVATE groups the price will be $800 for the boat and no one else but your group will be on the trip.
