This tour is carried out within the maritime excursions in Ushuaia. Navigation through the Beagle Channel is one of the 3 must-see tours in Ushuaia. We do this maritime tour through the Beagle Channel in Canoero Catamarans, the most modern fleet of catamarans in Ushuaia, 2018 and 2019 models.

We begin the navigation with a panoramic view of the Ushuaia coast, spotting the most important buildings, the Maritime Museum, Museum of the End of the World, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains. We sail to the southwest, approaching the island of Los Lobos, where we can enjoy the view of specimens of sea lions, observing their permanent habitat. Continuing the navigation, we will head towards the island of Los Pájaros, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to see specimens of marine birds. We continue sailing towards Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago of the same name. On these islets it is possible to see parts of Monte Cervantes, a ship that sank in 1930. Arriving at Isla Martillo, we observe how the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with notable curiosity, enter the sea swimming below the catamaran and re-emerge.

* Half-Day (Walk with Penguins) – 7 hs duration approx. We travel by bus route no3 and J. We will sail from Harberton Bay to Hammer Island. They can walk with penguins for 1 hour with a specialized guide who will inform you about the lives of these animals. Return to the city by bus. * Full-Day (Walking with Penguins + Sailing) – Schedules to be confirmed subject to availability. First part of the tour: Walk with Penguins We will leave in a Bus traveling National Route N3 and Route J. Then we will sail 15 minutes to Hammer Island, where we will walk 1 hour alongside the Magellanic penguins and Papuans. Return to the city by bus. Second part of the tour: Navigation Beagle Channel We will sail through the Beagle Channel, where we can observe the Fueguin fauna on Bird Island and the Isle of Wolves, as well as the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. The most encompassing full day tour in Ushuaia. It departs from Ushuaia eastward on National Route No. 3 and then on route "J". Once on the coast of the Beagle Channel, preparations will begin to paddle in inflatable canoes towards Gable Island. Rubber boots, over-pants, and life jackets will be used. We will paddle through the channel as the native people did for thousands of years until we reach our refuge on Gable Island. There, we will enjoy a hot lunch with a good Patagonian wine, soft drink, and mineral water. After a coffee, the hike begins to explore this uninhabited island, where we will experience the true feeling of knowing the End of the World. After the hike, a motorboat will be taken towards Martillo Island. From the boat, penguins can be sighted at their breeding site for 20 minutes, and then we will continue sailing towards the mainland, where the vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Ushuaia.

We will start our day at the tourist dock in Ushuaia. From there, we will travel along Route No. 3 and Route J in a comfortable bus, where you will have the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of our Tierra del Fuego forest, en route to the fascinating Martillo Island. Once we arrive at the boarding area, we will board a semi-rigid boat to enjoy a navigation of approximately 20 minutes that will take us to the island. There, we will walk for an hour alongside the Magellanic and Gentoo penguins, guided by a specialist who will share fascinating information about the life of these incredible animals. At the end of this experience, we will begin the return to the city. Later, we will meet again at our office to begin another exciting journey: a navigation through the imposing Beagle Channel. During this tour, we will have the opportunity to observe the Tierra del Fuego birdlife on the Isla de Pájaros and Isla de Lobos, as well as the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse.

Visiting the southernmost fishing village, enjoying its exquisite marine gastronomy and sailing to meet the charismatic penguins is a unique plan. Beginning with National Route No. 3, we cross the Fueguino valleys surrounded by mountains, turbulence and winter centers that dazzle along the way. Then we take Provincial Route J, a path surrounded by centuries-old forests towards the coast of the Beagle Channel. Along the way, we look at marine production areas, such as mussel cultivation and scentolla traps, known here as the "red gold". From the pier in Puerto Almanza, we embark on a zodiac to navigate the Beagle Channel to Isla Martillo, home to Magellanic penguins and Papua. We observe them in their natural and wild environment. Finally we return to the village to enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, tasting fresh produce from the region, closing this unforgettable experience before returning.
