Located north of Adelaide in the ruggedly spectacular northern Flinders Ranges, this 610sq km sanctuary features unique geological features, rugged mountains, towering granite peaks, magnificent gorges and mysterious waterholes, and is home to a large range of bird, reptile and mammal species, including the endangered Yellow-Footed Rock-Wallaby.

Australian wildlife eating from your hands and little penguins marching along the beach in numbers of up to one thousand! Wildlife encounters may vary on the day, however you have a good chance to see Wallabies, Penguins, Echinas, Reptiles and an array of bird life. Ride the famous Puffing Billy steam train as it whistles it way through lush forest and fern gullies whilst admiring the natural environment. Feed native birds such as cockatoo,Galas, king parrots and rosellas in the wild. William Ricketts sanctuary a magical place of indigenous sculpture placed around ferns and old growth forest. Truly a journey for the senses! Drivng through quaint mountain villages and stopping for lunch and some shopping time at Olinda. We may even encounter some Australian wildlife to admire .

Covering two of Victoria's grand regions. The Healesville Sanctuary is by far the most sustainable and well kept native park in the whole of Australia. You will be able to see all of our main fauna, such as koalas and kangaroos, and some very unique species such as platypus. The sanctuary is located at the base of the Great dividing range mountains and surrounded by native vegetation. This creates a true native environment for the animals and allows you to learn about the flora. The Puffing Billy historic stream train ride is situated in the Dandenong Mountains, about a 45 minute drive from the sanctuary. Here, you will start a steam train adventure that winds through pristine mountain ranges, temperate rainforest and fern gullies. Restored to its former glory, your ride will be accompanied by staff that are dressed to match that of the early 1900s.
