We are an experienced shuttle service providing transport for visitors to and from the Tongariro National Park since the 90's. Characterised by ancient volcanic scenery, spectacular skylines and local Maori legend, this World Heritage Site also features one of the best day hikes in the world. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing spans 19 kilometres along the active Tongariro Volcano in New Zealand’s Central Plateau, offering visitors a thrilling journey through some of the country’s most unique landscapes. We specialize in transfers to the world famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing trek. Locally owned and operated family business with the convenience of cultural insights, genuine local hospitality & drivers. Our customers have access to the only secure, all day Car Park.

National Park Shuttles is the only Tangata Whenua (local people) operator from the National Park Village, offering a fantastic transport journey departing from the ONLY all-day secure carpark with a one-way transport shuttle service to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We transfer you from the private car park to the beginning of the trek (Mangatepopo). You can hike as fast or as slowly as you like. We give the same advice and safety brief, as we do with our returning shuttles. We do account for you if you have not returned to your vehicle. No waiting hours for a shuttle at the finish if you're fast. No running for your shuttle if you're slow. At the end of the trek, you will arrive at the 4-hour Ketetahi car park. You will walk another 900 meters from there, back to where your car is parked. Rest assured that no one is ever left behind!

The Via Ferrata Socastillo has a spectacular plank suspension bridge that we will have to cross at the entrance and exit. This very alpine via ferrata combines vertical walls equipped with clamps and many climbing areas where we will have to use the rock to support our feet and hands. A very complete adventure in a spectacular landscape setting!!
