Cape Byron Aboriginal Tour


On this tour, guests are taken on an easy walk while learning about significant places and hearing local history and traditional stories. Highlights include the story of Nguthungalli (Julian Rocks), and information about Walgun (Cape Byron) and the thousand year old midden. There are also opportunities to learn some Bundjalung language and about bush food, natural medicine, tools, weapons and artefacts. Choose an animal ply wood cut out and start to create, you'll be guided by the aboriginal artist as to the meanings and interpretations of the art. After lunch we enjoy a refreshing swim in the stunning crystal-clear blue waters of a local freshwater swimming hole, perfect for rejuvenating your body, mind and spirit. Float down the 'magic carpet ride' of pandanus palms, a tunnel of palms that floats you through this serene water park.
